Vincent van Gogh Irises Poster

Vincent van Gogh, the Dutch post-impressionist painter, completed "Irises" in May 1889, one of the first works he made after admitting himself to the asylum at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. He set deep purple and blue irises against a yellow ground, chasing the kind of bold colour contrast that defines much of his late work.
